LoRa and 2.4 GHz Mesh are very different beasts and suitable for different applications.

LoRa shines in sparse networks where its long range can let a gateway cover vast areas. Mesh on the other hand can offer much greater bandwidth and more predictable latencies, but imposes restrictions on the placement of devices. Both technologies scale well, but in ways that can be counterintuitive at times.

If you’re wondering about the difference, then we’d love to hear for you and discuss the relative merits for your application.

Also, if you want to continue reading on the topic, we have already written an extensive blog post on how to combine LoRaWAN with Wireless Mesh.
